It has been a busy week. We watched with bated breath to see if a PNW team would win Worlds Houston.  Multiple teams mad it into Einstien and a PNW team was on the winning alliance of the championships! Also a huge congratulations to team 5295 for making it into the top 6 percent!  Besides worlds the team has been focusing on job descriptions and sponsor thank you letters. We are also planning the team celebration, scheduled sometime in may. Here's what everyone has been doing.

Accounting/Business: Ordering computer, finalizing purchasing form, making fixed assets list.

Although we have reached the end of our journey to Worlds 2017 the voyages of the robot Enterprise will continue. It will be put to good use during Girls Gen and at outreach events in the offseason.

Cheney Recap

Everyone had a great time on the Cheney trip! The bus ride was full of jokes sleeping students and games. On this trip Benny the tribble was born, and he Everyone will be seeing him at all of our competiitions. A special thanks to all of the travel team for their hard work and dedication while at competition. While we did not place high enough to go to worlds at the PNW Championship we came very close. We were at 11th place once and finished 6 teams behind the cutoff by the end of the event. An award, match victory, aliance selection, or a victory at the Ellensburg event would have placed us in the top 36 and we would have gone to Worlds. But let us  not focus on what could have been and instead on look to the future.

Post-Competition Plan

Right now the team is getting ready for the Sponsor thank you event and the team celbration as well as planning our Summer camp and Lakefair crepe booth.  This week we have been writing Job descriptions and next Monday we will be wirting sponsor thank you letters. Also happening during the coming weeks will be the subteam and team captain elections.

Here is what each individual team is up to this week:

Acounting/Business/Marketing: Purchasing a new compueter

Build: Reasembling Kelvin, enhancing Enterprise

Chairmen's: Planning strategies for next year

Programming: Enhancing Enterprise

Spirit: Brainstorming new spirit ideas

Finally to all of the team, thank you for your hard work in making one of the best competition seasons we have had, lets keep getting better in our continuing mission!

We have beamed down.

Today the full travel team arrived in Auburn and had one crazy day of competition. There were broken ropes, broken bots and a bot that was on fire! At the end of the day we placed 8th, and are ecstatic. All of the subteams who were here did a terriffic job and we are excited for the Day 2! Good luck everybody, keep up the good work!

Bag and Tag was a success! We cut it really close this year, but by the end of the day we had tested the robot and created a (rough) gameplan for the six hours.
